Monday Madness

I HATE MONDAYS! I HATE MONDAYS! I HATE MONDAYS! Did I mention that I hate Mondays?!?

Well I do, they are absolutely maddening. I didn’t even get settled in this morning before I was cussed out by residents at least four times. You’d think that I’d be used to it by now, but some mornings it really does get to me. Anyway…(deep breath), I wanted to let all of you know my new blog schdule!

Here’s a little breakdown…

– Mentor Monday – Monday is when I will reveal my Sunday School and Children’s Church lesson from Sunday and let you know how it went.

– Weekly Challenge Wednesday – Wednesdays will typically be my rants about our education system for the week. I promise not to post more than one rant a week. Lol. 🙂

– Freeday Friday – Friday’s post can be about anything. Whether it be about school, a day in the life, or just something that was interesting to me that I wanted to share with each of you.

I will probably be posting more than on just those three days, but I will for certain be posting on those days! Thank you so much for all of the new followers of my blog! Be sure to keep them coming!

Try and have a happy Monday….I’ll try to turn my Monday around!

Teaching Mishaps!

Happy Sunday!

I hope you have all had a great Sunday full of church fun and naps! I’ve actually had two separate naps today…Don’t judge me. I’m trying to fight off a cold! I did have an amazing time teaching this morning even though it did not go exactly as planned. You will all probably get a kick out out of this, but I FORGOT the GINGER! I know…I forgot ginger for gingerbread cookies! Don’t ask me how I did it, but nevertheless I did. After two separate trips to walmart for ginger and then eggs, I finally got the dough together and rolled out. My girls loved getting to press the cookie cutters in the dough. They also enjoyed putting in various ingredients, stirring our pot, and then helping me knead the dough. My cookies turned out delicious too! This was my first time cooking them so I was a little nervous!
Today definitely taught me that often times lesson plans don’t go as planned. It takes a good teacher to be able to take those curve balls and still make it work. I’ve always been the person to roll with the punches and you definitely have to continue that same attitude when you are teaching kids.
Check back tomorrow as I release my new weekly schedule!
