Wednesday Weekly Challenge : December 18, 2013

Good Morning Everyone!!

I’m currently on a Nyquil high so please don’t mind my potentially random post. I woke up at midnight last night with a sore throat and a stopped up head so obviously I went to the nyquil. Hence why I am rambling right now…. :p

Anyways, lets try and focus on weekly Wednesday challenge! Here’s the image I have chosen for this week….

Weekly Challenge Dec. 18 2013

“It takes a special kind of person to be a ____________.” How many times have y’all heard this phrase? I know that I’ve heard it a dozen times about numerous professions. I honestly think this phrase is true for any profession. We are all designed to be in a certain job in order to complete the task that God put us on this earth to do. Some of us were made to be doctors, others nurses, and still others stay at home moms/dads, but the kicker is that we all need to realize what we were put on this earth to do. It is very hard to get anything accomplished when you are just lolly gagging around this life not knowing what you should be working toward and feeling like you are wasting so much time. Trust me I did it for about a year!

My challenge for you this week seems simple on paper (or a blog), but it is often hard to do in our own lives. I want each of you to actively seek whether or not you are doing what God has asked you to do on this earth. Has he asked you to be a teacher and be all of those things listed above to a child you barely know? Has he asked you to take care of sick patients that don’t even know your name? Has he asked you to lead others to Christ simply be speaking of His name? Regardless of the challenge, it is your challenge and He will give you everything that you need in order to fulfill it!

I have already actively sought after my profession and my challenge and it is listed above. Every time I read a this or another quote on teaching, I always ask, “Are you sure this is for me?” God always answers my question every time I am around a child. My joy from being around them and being involved in their lives is the only answer I need.

This week ask God, “What is His profession and challenge for your life?” I promise that it will make all the difference.

Thanks for reading!
